Madness? This is MALAYSIAAA! (Digg clone wars)
Regarding the recent Malaysian Digg clone. (story link).
***
A group of lawyers representing the Diggnation Empire ride their way to Malaysia to meet with King Arsyan who had become King of his own little Malaysian Digg Empire.
Digg Lawyer: We demand that you took down your site.
King Arsyan: I will never bow down to the likes of you.
Digg Lawyer: You cannot afford to fight us. We will make you broke and poor. Bow down to Lord Kevin Rose.
King Arsyan: No, Never!
Digg Lawyer: Think about your site future, you can afford to fight our millions of geeks loyal to Digg.
King Arsyan: You come to my doorsteps bearing the cease and decease letters. You dare? Tell Kevin Rose to go fuck off.
Digg Lawyer: But… think about it, what you are saying. This is madness.
King Arsyan: Madness? THIS. IS. MALAYSIAAAA!!
He then kicked him into a pit, which just happened to be there. Malaysian roads are full of them. You must be a very skillful driver to drive while avoid the potholes that are sometimes as deep as the Sparta pit.
King Arsyan then took 300 his finest Digg.com.my top Diggers, but he has to wait a while as at the moment of writing this there are only about 200 registered user on his site.
He then decided to take the almost 300 register users, and off they go. It actually took longer then he expected do to the crappy speeds of Malaysian broadband.
Along the way King Arsyan did manage to give some motivational speech to his follower, as they are about to face the Diggnation army. "Eat well as tonight we will dine in HELL!!" said the King to his armies.
It wasn’t long before King Arsyan meets Kevin Rose face to face.
Kevin Rose: I am the Word of Geek. You cannot stand before my millions of loyal geek diggers with just 300 of your registered users.
King Arsyan: I shall stand the wrath of your millions with my almost 300 registered users.
And so millions of Kevin Rose’s diggers descend upon King Arsyan and his site with TCP/IP packets the blocks the bandwidth. With DDOS attack, Digg traffic and so on, King Arsyan Digg site when down.
The courageous move however had inspired no one.
