Singapore anime figurine protesters meet real police

In Singapore, a group of 5-inch tall figurines such as Ultramen, some Gundam robots, monster and such were out in protest. The singapore authorities then responded by sending four anti-riot vans at the scene. Singapore does not have a anti-riot figurines squad yet.

Public protests are rare in Singapore. Outdoor demonstrations are banned and any public gathering of more then four people or figurines requires a permit.

They, the owners of those figurines, Japanese anime fans are protesting against a clamdown on Internet downloading of anime material by Singapore animation distributor Odex.
